Where Do I catch the Bus?

Where can I buy tickets?

For your convenience and peace of mind, you can buy your tickets right here on our website. Or if you’d prefer to wait, you can buy tickets in our booking office at the top of the railway station steps when you arrive in Katoomba or directly from the bus.

How will my tickets be delivered if I buy them online?

You will receive an email confirmation of your ticket purchase. That’s all you need when you arrive!

I'm bringing children, do they need a ticket?

Children 3 – 15 require a ticket to ride. Children under 3 are free and do not require a ticket. Adult fare is payable for 16+ years.

Do you pick up in Sydney?

Our service is within the Blue Mountains only. The best way to get to the Blue Mountains is via train. It’s not expensive (less than $10 each way), is relaxing, and you avoid the city traffic! Trains depart Sydney Central Station for the Blue Mountains generally every hour. It takes approximately 2 hours to Katoomba and you get gorgeous views along the way.

Can I use my Opal Card?

You can use your Opal Card for the train to Katoomba, but you will need to purchase one of our passes to ride the Blue Mountains Explorer Bus hop on hop off tour service.

Does the Explorer Bus include Scenic World rides?

Yes, Our Lyrebird Pass and Kookaburra Pass both include Scenic World. Bookings are essential and we can help you with this upon arrival.
