Q. Where do I catch the bus?

A: The bus leaves every 30 minutes from the bus stop at the top of Katoomba Street OPPOSITE the Carrington Hotel. Coming from Sydney? Read more about how to get here.

Q. Where can I buy tickets?

A: For your convenience and peace of mind, you can buy your tickets right here on our website. Or if you'd prefer to wait, you can buy tickets in our booking office at the top of the railway station steps when you arrive in Katoomba.

Q. How will my tickets be delivered if I buy them online?

A: You will receive an email confirmation of your ticket purchase with a booking number beginning with the letter N######. That's all you need when you arrive!

Q. Do I need to book for a specific day of travel?

A: That's not necessary. Your confirmed booking entitles you to a ticket any time within 12 months of the date of purchase. It's that easy!

Q. I'm bringing a toddler, do they need a ticket?

A: Children under the age of 4 do not need a ticket.

Q. Do you pick up in Sydney

A: Our service is within the Blue Mountains only. The best way to get to the Blue Mountains is via train. It's not expensive (less than $10 each way), is relaxing, and you avoid the city traffic! Trains depart Sydney Central Station for the Blue Mountains generally every hour. It takes approximately 2 hours to Katoomba and you get gorgeous views along the way.

Q. Can I use my Opal Card?

A: You can use your Opal Card for the train to Katoomba, but you will need to purchase one of our passes to ride the Blue Mountains Explorer Bus hop on hop off tour service.

Q. Does the Explorer Bus include Scenic World rides?

A: Yes, our Lyrebird Pass includes unlimited Scenic World entry for one day.
